Post subject: Servlet Error Message..."should never happen"

We had everything up and running...Solaris 8, Oracle 9.2.0.2., Tomcat, Apache. They made some changes to the server and took it down. When they did that this error started. They took it back down and reversed the changes. We're still getting the error. We've updated the ORB using the configuration tool.

Does anybody know if this is a Webi error and what might be causing it? Tomcat/Apache examples work fine.

Code:
Servlet Engine Exception: WebIntelligence / SDK System
Exception: 19002 Unknown general error (System: java.lang.RuntimeException: should never happen !!)

URL: /wijsp/scripts/tools/err_page.jsp?null
StackTrace: javax.servlet.ServletException: Web Intelligence / SDK
System Exception: 19002 Unknown general error (System: java.lang.RuntimeException: should never happen !!)  at org.apache.jsp.err_0005fpage$jsp._jsp Service (err_0005fpage$jsp.java:69) at

I just love the error message..."should never happen!!" icon_confused.gif

I haven't found anything on this error. We've even gone so far as to uninstall and reinstall and the error is still there. I've submitted a ticket to tech support...if it's anything worthwhile, I'll follow up here!

It appears that this particular error was caused by corruption of the repository. One of the ways that we tested for the cause of the problem was to remove the bomain.key and see if Webi would come up without it. When it did, it pointed to the problem being with the middleware or the connection to the repository. icon_mrgreen.gif

Please, how did you confirm the corruption? Did you run a scan/repair/compact from within Business Objects Supervisor?

Two BO Techs, and a King up a bare tree!

Business Objects technical support were instrumental in diagnosing the problem!!! yesnod.gif
